Spelling errors, always difficult
At first, we didn't want to be silly and that's why we last Monday answered the request of TPG Post not to use the picture of the Overijssel sheet, which was withdrawn from sale.
But now, the TPQ media information service, which probably got tired of the question on the "why", has decided to tell what was wrong. The geographical name, Sallandse Heuvelrug ("Salland Hill"), was spelled incorrectly, namely as Sallantse Heuvelrug, with a "t" instead of a "d". And now that we have seen newspapers that did not only describe, but even depict the mistake, there is acturally noreason left not to be honest on this philatelic website. What is printed here is the mistake, which inspired TPG Post to a quick and efficient "withdrawel operation". On Monday, there were even couriers driving around in Overijssel to get the stamps back from the post offices. For TPG Post, this was most unpleasant, but it could have been much worse if the stamps would actually have been sold.
